The Quail Creek Pickleball Club’s (QCPC) energetic and active board members and volunteers are planning many events for the upcoming season. Some familiar Scheduled Play events will continue, including Open Play, Organized Play, Wednesday’s Open Play 6-Game Round Robin (more information below), and the popular themed Socials. Player Development will bring back drills and lessons for all levels, including Intro to Pickleball, 2.0 Beginner Drills, 2.0 and 2.5 Assisted Play, 3.0/3.5 Clinic Days, and GQ Pickleball. They will also provide a new drill session, the 3.5 Advanced and 4.0 Advanced Doubles Team Ladder Play (more information below).
Open Play 6-Game Round Robin (for all Quail Creek residents)
One of the events organized by the QCPC is the Open Play 6-Game Round Robin. This event is for all Quail Creek residents (non-club members included), QCPC members, and house guests.
All player levels are welcome. Play is Wednesday from 8 to 10 a.m. on courts 7-12. Players sign up by 7:45 a.m. at the courts. Round robin sheets are used to rotate people for play. Players sign up at the courts before the scheduled play and are given a number for the round robin to play with different partners and against different players.
3.5 Advanced and 4.0 Advanced Doubles Team Ladder Play
A new player development event being planned is the 3.5 Advanced and 4.0 Advanced Doubles Team Ladder Play. These two-hour sessions are offered to members who want to drill/compete as a doubles team against a variety of comparable teams and upper-level coaches.
Each session will include one team of coaches playing in the ladder and non-playing coaches observing play. Prior to the start of play, a drill will be introduced. Coaches will observe and help players incorporate what was shown in the drill.
