The Women of Quail Creek, TWOQC, extends its sincere appreciation for the outpouring of donations for our baby shower held on August 10. Twenty five moms to be, or recently delivered moms, representing the Air and Army National Guard and Army Reserve in the Tucson area attended. We used the cash donations to buy the more practical items that new moms need like diapers and wipes. Thanks also to the individual members of the Needlework Club for their donations of quilts that were presented to the service member moms, plus assorted hats, sweaters and blankets.
When you see tears in the eyes of both male and female service members, you know your efforts were appreciated. The shower was a phenomenal success in large part because of your generous support for the project.
We would like to sincerely thank all of you for your support through this most difficult time. We will always miss Wally, my husband, our dad and our friend.
His last request was that there be no memorial or funeral services. He asked that anyone who wished could make a donation to the Heart Fund or The American Cancer Society.
