Relay team getting ready to walk in memory of Jim Asbell
Join the Quail Creek Fights Back Relay for Life team on April 2 at Rancho Resort, 15900 S. Rancho Resort Blvd., Sahuarita, at 11 a.m. to clap and cheer in support of the long, painful, and stressful journey of those who have been touched by cancer. Register and join the teams throughout the day to walk, sit and chat, or stand on a short, partially shaded path in support or in memory of those touched by cancer.
From 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., teams will have someone on the track at all times, with special laps, such as the breast cancer, skin cancer, or the luminaria lap in honor or in memory of an individual’s journey. Food trucks, music, outdoor games of cornhole, Connect 4, a cake walk, and more will be available all day. At 5:30 p.m., the band Moon Shadow will play dance music for those who wish to dance until 8 p.m. As the day winds down, luminaria bags will line the path and be lighted in memory of those who lost their cancer battles.
