The first of our four Quail Creek Ballroom Dance Club events is scheduled in the Crystal Ballroom at Madera Clubhouse on Wednesday, December 18. The chandeliers will be sparkling, the fresh floral centerpieces will be blooming and the Tom Patrick Band will be playing beginning at 5:30 p.m. Dancing will continue for an hour before a delectable dinner is served for our enjoyment.
This year Mary Lou has conferred with Director of Food and Beverage Aris Cabrera and Director of Banquets Epi Torres. Our dinners are planned from menus from famous restaurants in Buenos Aires, Bangkok, Athens and New Orleans. What a fantastic treat each meal will be! On December 18, the meal begins with ensalada de betabel and mixed greens followed by a choice of roasted rack of lamb or achiote rubbed jumbo shrimp as an entrée. We wrap up with a traditional Argentinean dessert, a flan Napolitano. This is definitely not a standard banquet meal!
At 7:30 p.m. we will be entertained with a professionally danced Samba. Oh, the envy as we see how it can be done. Of course, Ballroom Dance Club does offer dance lessons which are advertised in the What’s Happening daily emails and are open to all Quail Creek residents. The Tom Patrick Band returns to play their wonderful dance selections for our members and guests until 9:30 p.m. What a beautiful way to spend a pre Christmas evening with friends!
The Ballroom Dance Club has some full memberships available and our members may bring guests. To find out membership or guest details please contact Justine Lewis at 399-4646 or [email protected].
