If you enjoyed last year’s spring play, Moon Over Buffalo, by Ken Ludwig, you’ll be happy to know that Davey Jones, PAG VP of Comedy/Drama, has selected another of Ken Ludwig’s plays for PAG’s spring offering. This year’s performers will present Lend Me a Tenor, a fast-paced comedic situation where the “loss of the world-class tenor scheduled to perform at the Cleveland Grand Opera Company results in a battle of the egos as local staff and stars try to demonstrate their ability to fill in for the master.
As in all comedy, timing is everything and this play is no exception with rapid-fired lines and split-second actions being essential to maximize the humor. All of this takes many hours and weeks of practice so auditions for parts in the play will be held in mid-January. Four male and four female roles need to be filled so, if you are interested in bringing this hilarious comedy to the Quail Creek stage, mark your calendars – audition dates are Monday and Tuesday, January 12 and 13 starting at 4:30 p.m. in the Gold Room. Karen Doyle has accepted the role of director and will be assisted by Frank Gunn. Please give either one of them a call to schedule a time for your audition on either one of these dates. Please consider this your personal invitation to share your many talents not only with the cast of the play but also with the residents of Quail Creek as PAG presents their spring play in April.
