Relay for Life Garage Sale raised $3,800 for cancer

Thank you to all of the Quail Creek residents who donated household items, furniture, clothing, electronics and more to the sixth annual Relay For Life garage sale which raised $3,800 to benefit the American Cancer Society. The week before the sale, the Quail Creek Fights Back Relay team sorted and organized items that were dropped off at 2494 E Bluejay Bluff Lane by Quail Creek residents. At 6:00 a.m. team members and volunteers arrived in the dark to haul out furniture and start putting up three rows of 6 foot tables down the driveway. By 6:45 the donated items were all out of the house, courtyard, casita and garages. The tables were full and the surrounding area covered with items for sale. Shoppers arrived by 7:00 a.m. and continued coming all day.

Thank you to all of the team members and the volunteers who helped make another sale a great success. The Relay team has a goal to raise $15,000 for the American Cancer Society to fund cancer patient programs like the Road to Recovery, Look Good Feel Better, Patient Navigator and for cancer research.
