Start saving saleable items for the fifth annual Relay For Life Garage Sale in November 2014. Thanks to the generous donations of many Quail Creek residents the Quail Creek Fights Back team raised $3,000 from the mountain of donated items received. The dollars raised will help the Relay Team reach the $15,000 goal set for 2014 to help the American Cancer Society fund cancer research, patient programs, education and advocacy. Unsold items went to the White Elephant, Continental School for the children’s Christmas shopping and to the HUD/VASH program for veterans’ housing.

The Quail Creek Relay Team is also helping The Women of Quail Creek host a January 31 luncheon and style show with models wearing clothing provided by Rose’s Fashions, plan a Challenge of the Sexes putting event in early 2014, will help co chair a golf tournament on April 14 at Desert Hills Country Club and will walk from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. with 25 other teams at the March 29 Relay For Life event at Anamax Park. To join the team, go to www.relayforlife.org/gvsahuaritaaz.
