Presentation will be followed by a Q & A. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.
Skin cancer is a big concern for anyone living in the Southwest. Learn how to arm yourself against the harmful rays of the sun, how to identify signs of skin cancer and what you can do to ease the aging process on your skin. This presentation was first given last January and was very well attended. Dr. Schwartz received his dermatology specialty training at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. following his transitional internship at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. Dr. Schwartz graduated with honors from Clemson University in 1997 and in 2002 graduated from medical school at LECOM in Pennsylvania.
Dr. Schwartz is a Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. He has extensive training and experience in all aspects of dermatology to include lasers, cosmetic procedures and medical and surgical treatment of skin, hair and nail diseases.
After completing dermatology residency, Dr. Schwartz served as the Chief of Dermatology at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center for three years and is a member of the Association of Military Dermatologists. He has served as a physician on active duty in the United States Army for eight years.
