Richard Brown has been playing bridge and making friends in Quail Creek for 17 years. For more than 10 years, Richard has been patiently teaching, coaching, and encouraging Quail Creek bridge players. On Monday mornings, Richard hosts the learning bridge player group where the hands are analyzed to improve both the bidding and the playing of the hands. Additionally, Richard comes early to the Wednesday and Friday duplicate bridge games to prepare the boards for play.
To show our appreciation for Richard’s dedication to Quail Creek bridge players, over 50 bridge players/students attended a thank-you gathering in the Silver Room at the clubhouse on Aug. 12. Richard was presented with an engraved plaque and a basket overflowing with personal cards and letters from present and former players/students who have moved away. During the festivities, many attendees shared their own thoughts, stories, and anecdotes about how Richard impacted their bridge journeys. Thank you, Richard!
