The annual POA Board Election is almost here.
Are you the type of person who wants to give back to their community?
Are you willing to help face any challenges our community faces in the future?
Are you able to volunteer time each month to attend meetings?
Do you want to represent your fellow homeowners?
Do you want to make a difference?
If so, please consider becoming a candidate for the annual POA Board election. The POA Board consists of five members, two of whom are elected by the homeowners. One resident-elected position expires each year and the person elected to fill that position will serve a two-year term.
Candidates must be homeowners in good standing prior to the start of the current election calendar. It is recommended that the candidate be a full-time resident and have served on at least one Board-authorized committee. POA Board members must be willing to, and are obligated to, participate in all Board meetings and assignments, including serving as liaison to various Board-appointed committees.
If you are interested in becoming a candidate, obtain a Candidate Packet from Guest Services (Concierge Desk). This packet contains an introductory letter, guidelines for campaign etiquette and a statement of intent. Complete the required information and return the packet to Guest Services marked to the attention of the Chairperson – Election Committee. IMPORTANT: If the completed packet is received by Guest Services no later than 5:00 p.m. on August 18, the candidate’s information will be included in an article in the September issue of the Quail Creek Crossing. All completed packets must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, September 11.
Being a POA Board member requires a commitment of time and energy, but the results can be so rewarding. You have the satisfaction of knowing you are making a positive contribution to the community in which you live. You can make a difference!
