Pink Patch Project: October Breast Cancer Awareness Month Activities

The Quail Creek Fights Back Relay For Life team will be supporting the Sahuarita Police Department (SBD) in their efforts to launch the Pink Patch Project to raise dollars for breast cancer awareness, cancer research, and treatment. SPD officers may elect to voluntarily  wear a single SPD pink patch on their left shoulder during the month of October to support the Pink Patch Project. The SPD is doing this to increase awareness about the lifesaving benefits of early detection and early intervention in the fight against breast cancer. The dollars raised by the Pink Patch Project will go to the American Cancer Society to fund cancer research. The SPD pink patches will be available for purchase in the SPD lobby located at 315 W. Sahuarita Center Way, Sahuarita, on Oct. 1 and will be sold for $10 each. At this time, the SPD is requesting purchases be made with cash only.
