The Quail Creek Lady Niners joined together with the local Continental School students for the fourth annual Junior Tournament. The event organized by Lady Niner Christi Tucker, with the help of Coach Steve Lathen, paired 36 students with 36 ladies for nine holes of golf on the Quail Course. It was a great experience for all who participated. The 18 girls and 18 boys who participated were exposed to a real golf course with some of the rules that can make a game an additional challenge.
Winning teams were First place Lee Schmidt, Gunner Chesney, Marci Yenerich and Maddie Meyer; Second place Mary Harrington, Edgar Tello, Kathy Laughman and Aileen Garcia; Third place Jackie Hallett, Ryan Duncan, Karen Feckler and Mikayla Szabo.
The awards were presented at a luncheon at the Madera Clubhouse.
