Next year the Quail Creek Tennis Board and the Tennis Tournament Committee have decided to do a Team Tennis format for the 2015 Tennis Tournament. The format would consist of 8 to 12 players per team. Matches played will be two men’s doubles, two women’s doubles and two mixed doubles. After members have signed up, the teams will be chosen by the Tennis Tournament Committee and will consist of mixed level players with each team to play at their own level.

This tournament will be held during the week of March 23, 2015. Signups will be available during the month of January 2015. This will be a new concept for the Quail Creek Tennis Club and all are looking forward to a fun week of play.

The Tournament Committee consists of players Gary Jones, Cozette Smith, Pam Campbell, Ian Meldrum, Carlo Pensyl, Chuck Poffenbarger, Joanna Miller and Nancy Larsen. They are excited about this new format as each match can be cheered on by the rest of their team, crazy names chosen for the team and probably clever attire on the courts as well. They are hoping that spectators will come and choose a favorite team and also get involved in cheering on the matches.

More information will be available on the Quail Creek Tennis Club site beginning in January.
