MOAA Food Drive a Success for December

Peggy McGee (front row) presented a check to Monica Oxford, Chief, Center for Development and Civic Engagement, to be used to further support the homeless veterans program. Quail Creek MOAA members Mike and Marianne Rogers Faust (wearing MOAA caps), who collected groceries at their house, are in the back row.

The Green Valley Chapter, Military Officers Association of America (MOAA), sends their sincere thanks to all the Quail Creek residents who made MOAA’s first-ever collection of non-perishable foods for homeless veterans a success. Not only did you donate food, but also cleaning, paper, and hygiene products. The dental items were especially appreciated.

The Chapter used the monetary donations to purchase hardy stews and soups with flip-top openings for those veterans who live on the streets and in tunnels.
