A group of 10 members of Let’s Travel Club rode in a 15-passenger van, driven by club member Ted Myrick, to Williams, Ariz., where we started our journey via train to Grand Canyon National Park. After overnighting at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel (adjacent to the train depot), we embarked on a two-hour nostalgic trip back in time, accompanied by musicians and attendants who shared historical knowledge, and even an old-fashioned train robbery! Later, after we arrived at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, we enjoyed a private, narrated, two-hour Arizona Sunset Tour via motorcoach. On day three, after staying at Maswik Lodge North (inside the park), we explored the park on our own before we journeyed back on the train. Returning to the Williams Depot, we stayed the night once again at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel before heading back to Quail Creek.
