On Tuesday morning, June 10, nine Let’s Travel Club members learned about the rich history of the Barrio Viejo, a national historic district. We also explored Scott Avenue, known as a “strolling street” in downtown Tucson. Here, some of the cultural landmarks we saw included the Children’s Museum (located in the historic Carnegie Library), the Scottish Rite Cathedral, and the Temple of Music and Art. Our private walking tour was led by Scott Darlage, owner of StrollsAndStoriesTours.com. After our guided, two-mile tour, we had brunch at The Nook, the perfect spot to hop on the streetcar and return to our vehicles at Mercado San Agustin.
