Do you put Balsamic Vinegar on your ice cream? Have you ever tasted olive oil infused with Persian Lime? What about adding flavored vinegars to your smoothies? These and many other treatments were the subject of Rocio Cespedes Patel’s presentation to The Women of Quail Creek during the April 24 program. Patel, with her husband, is owner of Tubac Olive Oil Company.

Members of TWOQC were exposed to the many uses of olive oils and balsamic vinegars. The health benefits, the interesting flavors, and the various uses of each were shared with those attending the program. The audience shared some of their favorite uses and then was treated to a tasting of many samples of both oils and vinegars.

Also happening during this program was TWOQC’s spring collection for the Green Valley/Sahuarita Food Bank. Those in attendance gave generously to this annual tradition during a time that is typically one of great need during the departure of winter residents.
