The Quail Creek Fights Back Relay For Life team asked Quail Creek residents for garage sale items in November. The team asked for donated raffle items for the luncheon/style show with The Women of Quail Creek in January. Now the team is asking for Quail Creek residents to join the team on March 29 at Anamax Park, 17501 S Camino De Las Quintas, from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm to celebrate more survivor birthdays and to walk in honor of, or in memory of, those who have been touched by cancer. Thanks to generous Quail Creek residents, the Quail Creek team is the top fundraiser of the Green Valley/Sahuarita Relay teams. Donations of garage sale items, raffle items and of valuable time has been greatly appreciated and has made a difference in the American Cancer Society’s ability to fund cancer research and provide patient education, services and advocacy.
Yet to come is the April 14 scramble golf tournament at Desert Hills Golf Course. For one day this private course and golf carts have been donated to the Relay For Life teams to host a cancer benefit. The $100 per person entry fee includes green fees, cart fee and lunch. To sign up for golf, to purchase tickets for raffle and 50/50 prizes or sponsor a hole on the golf course, contact Lynda Rivard at 777-7571 or [email protected] or Ginny Hutcheson at 520-906-0930.
To join the Quail Creek team, register as a survivor or caregiver to be honored on March 29, donate dollars for the Quail Creek team to reach their $15,000 fundraising goal or purchase a luminaria bag in honor or in memory of someone who has been touched by cancer, go to www.relayforlife.org/gvsahuaritaaz or contact Ginny Hutcheson at [email protected] or 520-906-0930.
