Quail Creek’s Joan Brown placed third overall in the 2023 Robson Trap Trials held March 24 at Casa Grande Trap and Skeet. Joan shot her first perfect score of 25 in trap singles, followed by a 23 and a 24 in rounds two and three, for a total of 72 out of 75. Joan’s score contributed to her community’s winning the event.
Joan walked away with a first-place trophy for Women’s Best of Field, a trophy for winning community, and a 25-straight patch for her perfect score. Congratulations, Joan!
Joan and eight other women competed in the Trap Trials this year. PebbleCreek put together its first all-female squad of five. Four of those five shooters took up the sport within the last few years.
