Tickets for the Oct. 22 annual Javelina Hoedown went on sale Sept. 3, but it’s certainly not too late to get your tickets for this fabulously fun fundraising event for The Women of Quail Creek (TWOQC) Scholarship Program! These scholarships benefit high school senior girls from Sahuarita, Walden Grove, and Rio Rico High Schools, as well as Women in Transition (WIT) Scholarships for women over 21 returning to school or in need of classes or certification at a community college, university, or trade school.
So, yes, if you attend, you will certainly be helping TWOQC Scholarships, but really, this is all about all the fun you’ll have doing it! There will be a chuckwagon buffet dinner, live music by Hardscrabble Road band, lots of dancing, a 50/50 raffle, and a silent auction featuring gourmet meals, a bourbon tasting, one-of-kind handcrafted items, cookies of the month, private concerts, golf experiences, and a gift card alley, to name a few.
Tickets for the Javelina Hoedown are $55 per person. The event is from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Cash, checks, or credit cards are accepted. Come one, come all, because this event is open to everyone—members or non-members, residents or non-residents. And, of course, Western attire is greatly encouraged!
Tickets will be sold in the lobby of the Madera clubhouse from 8 to 11 a.m. on the following dates: Friday, Sept. 13; Tuesday, Sept. 17; Saturday, Sept. 21; Monday, Sept. 23; Friday, Sept. 27; Thursday, Oct. 3; Saturday, Oct. 5; Monday, Oct. 7; and Friday, Oct. 11.
Get your tickets early, all you cowpokes, because when all the tickets are sold, that’s all, folks! And you surely don’t want to miss this great event!
