On Sept. 7 the Quail Creek Billiards Club (QCBC) held its next in-house tournament in its series of revolving games of pool billiards. September was the month for 8-ball, and 12 QCBC members participated. Members of the QCBC Board facilitated the event.
The players were able to experience a tournament of competition and excitement. The winning stroke came down to the last ball of the match.
Congratulations to Darrell Pruitt for taking first place and to Bryce Dohrman for taking second place. Going into the finals, Pruitt needed to win two matches to Dohrman’s one. Pruitt took the first two of three games, forcing them into a final playoff match where he was victorious over Dohrman.
The next billiards tournament was on Oct. 5 and followed the Billiard Congress of America (BCA) standardized rules for the game of 9-ball.
Tournaments are open to all QCBC members. If you are not a member and are interested in playing, simply go to the Billiards Room or the QC club kiosk in the hallway (both located in the Madera clubhouse) to pick up a membership form.
