November 9 from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. will be the Quail Creek Fights Back Relay For Life team’s fourth annual garage sale to fund all cancer research. Last year the team raised $2,550 from the furniture, household goods, linens, clothing, tools, etc. that were donated by Quail Creek residents. Again we are asking for your help by dropping good saleable items off from November 5 through 9 at 2494 E. Bluejay Bluff Lane. Please preprice all items from $0.25 on up. Thanks to very generous Quail Creek residents, the 2013 Relay team raised $14,400 by August 31, 2013. The 2014 team goal is $15,000. The 2014 planned activities are the garage sale, helping The Women of Quail Creek put on their January 31, 2014 luncheon and style show, hosting another Challenge of the Sexes Putting Contest early in 2014, helping host a Golf Tournament at Desert Hills on April 14 and will be a big part of the 2014 Relay For Life event at Anamax Park from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on March 29. Twenty-five relay teams hope to raise $65,000 by August 31, 2014, to help the American Cancer Society fund cancer research, patient services, programs and advocacy. We need your help.
