Karen Bartlett, ALC Supervisor
The ALC would like to take this time to wish you all a joyous holiday season. If this is your first “winter” in a warm climate, decorating without snow on the ground is simply amazing! So many possibilities. Just remember that all those beautiful lights need to be off by 10 p.m. (ALC Guidelines, Lighting, 3.21.H)
Now that the transition to our new trash collection system is complete, the ALC would like to remind residents that trash containers must be stored out of sight from the street and neighboring properties. As outlined in the Quail Creek CC&R 4.2.10:
Trash containers shall be maintained and stored so as not to be visible from neighboring property, except when placed outside for collection.
To ensure compliance, the ALC will conduct an audit of trash containers in mid-January. Please be sure to check that your trash containers are properly stored in advance. A reminder will be placed in the What’s Happening in early January.
The harsh Arizona sun can take a toll on exterior surfaces, particularly garage doors that face direct sunlight. As part of our ongoing efforts to maintain the aesthetics of our community, the ALC will be conducting a garage door audit in April, 2026. As you are backing out or driving into your driveway, take a moment to assess the condition of your garage door—is it sun-faded or looking tired? Time to freshen up those doors.
If you plan to paint your garage doors, please note that a permit application from the ALC is required. There is no fee for this permit. Along with the application, include the color you are using and a photo of the front of your house showing the garage door. This will help ensure that any updates are in compliance with community standards. We will send out additional reminders as we approach the audit time in April, 2026.
