Join likeminded life learners to discover the history and principles of the five great religions of the world. Mahatmas Gandhi’s quote would be apropos to this lecture series: “If we are to respect others’ religions as we would have them respect our own, a friendly study of the world’s religions is a sacred duty.” Learning the similarities between Christianity and the other religions will surprise you.
Presenter Jack Gallagher enjoys the reputation of being an outstanding lecturer on a broad array of topics because of his wealth of knowledge, excellent presentations, great sense of humor and varied academic background. He holds graduate degrees in Theology plus Education and Counseling and did his doctoral work in Psychology at New York University. While his career path has been in the field of Human Services, his passion for world religions was recently rekindled through a course he taught for Hospice volunteers. Mr. Gallagher’s desire to help others has further been displayed through his work with grief groups, Alcoholics Anonymous and marriage counseling. The Development of Religion in America, History of Human Migration (Human Genome and Genometric Projects), Nutrition and Obesity, Class Warfare in the United States (14 Great Depressions through 1893) and History of the Middle East are topics in which Mr. Gallagher has extensive knowledge and shares with others.
Let’s all open our eyes and minds to all of God’s people and further world peace.
