Bill Foraker, Chair, QC Election Committee
The Election Committee is pleased to announce there are three candidates for the one open QCPOA Board position that begins in January 2022. To find out more information about our candidates, go to quailcreekhoa.org/group/quail-creek-hoa/board-elections.
If you don’t want to retype the link, go to the Quail Creek website and sign in. From the green horizontal menu, hover over POA BOARD and select the first item, “2021 Board Elections.” The webpage includes candidate information as well as guidelines about the election process.
The Election Committee scheduled two Meet the Candidate forums on Oct. 3 and 5 for residents to have an opportunity to listen to and ask questions of each of the candidates. We conduct these sessions so our residents can learn more about our candidates.
The beginning of the voting period is Oct. 12. On that date, all residents with email addresses on file will receive an electronic ballot. Only residents without an email address in the Quail Creek system will be mailed a paper ballot. This move was taken for two reasons. First, paper ballots are more than four times as costly as electronic voting. Second, the return rate for the paper ballots was below 50 percent and far below the response for electronic voting. Mailing ballots is not cost effective and that’s your dues money. If necessary, any resident can obtain a paper ballot from the Quail Creek Administrative Building. Paper ballots can either be returned by mail or delivered to the locked drop box at the Administrative office.
The voting period ends at the close of business, 4 p.m. Arizona time, on Nov. 9. If your electronic vote has not been cast or your paper ballot has not been received, your vote will not be counted, so please vote early. Please note that each residence (property/lot) gets one vote. If any residence submits more than one vote, electronic or paper, both votes are void. So please coordinate with your housemates!
Thank you in advance for participating in this important activity for all Quail Creek residents.
