The Women of Quail Creek’s (TWOQC) In My Kitchen was all about Strong Women and Sweet Reflections!
Fourteen members gathered on a beautiful spring afternoon for an Easter picnic hosted by Pam Hartwell-James. The event was filled with delicious food, meaningful conversation, and heartfelt reflections.
The picnic menu featured barbecued pineapple chicken sliders and fresh spinach with strawberries, avocados, and hard-boiled eggs, topped with a warm, savory bacon dressing. The dessert was white chocolate lemon brownies—yes, please! The table was as full of flavor as it was of laughter and love.
But the heart of the event was the thoughtful theme: “What would you say to your 13-year-old self?” Guests were invited to share letters or memories from their early teenage years. Some read aloud words of encouragement they wished they’d heard at 13, while others recalled the challenges they faced in those formative years.
As each woman shared her story, a beautiful thread emerged, one of resilience, self-discovery, and strength.
