Did You Miss the TWOQC November Open House?

On Nov. 12 The Women of Quail Creek (TWOQC) held their annual Open House—a great opportunity for members and non-members to learn about the organization and explore its many programs and activities. If you missed it or didn’t stop at every table, here’s an overview:

TWOQC’s membership consists of more than 300 women residents of Quail Creek, and this recent event brought in 15 new members! The organization’s Mission Statement says it all: “We are a community of women dedicated to Learning, Giving, and Engaging.”

Learning and Engaging: TWOQC members can participate in a variety of fun and educational experiences, such as On-The-Go, a series of fun group outings in and around Tucson; In My Kitchen, unique cooking experiences at various members’ homes; plus a large and ever-growing variety of crafts classes, including rock painting, crocheting, flower-making, and ceramics. And then there are all the wonderful group activities, such as Mexican Train, Book Club, Gardening Club, Decorations Committee, Connecting Over Coffee, and much more.

Giving: TWOQC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Its two major charitable endeavors are Community Outreach and scholarships.

Community Outreach supports local programs, such as Genesis House of Green Valley, a local shelter for abused women and children; Courtney’s Courage, helping families of children with cancer; and Honor Flight, dedicated to support for our local military veterans. For 2026 the team will be supporting Hope Rising Arizona, which provides long-term residential services to young and adult survivors of sex trafficking and exploitation in Southern Arizona.

Scholarships supports educational opportunities for local women by awarding scholarships to two specific groups: young women graduating high school and women over 21 resuming their education to improve their lives. All funds are paid directly to the institution, and last year alone, $94,500 in scholarships was awarded to 27 recipients.
