First place, Wizard of Oz

On a sunny October afternoon costumed dogs and their owners were having fun at the annual Howl-0-Ween party. Although Judges Linda Von Felden and Anne and Art Pahl had a difficult time deciding winners, first prize was awarded to the Leibowitzs with the theme of the Wizard of Oz, second to Buttons and Bows Mott, third to Mini Mouse Rodgers and honorable mention to Surfer Dude Steer. All dogs left happy with bags of treats.
Our November meeting featured Jill Ruiz who discussed the services provided by Central Pet in Amado and answered questions regarding pet training. Jill will provide free evaluations for a particular pet behavior. Anyone interested should contact Dick Jones at [email protected]. The meeting ended with voting for three board members. Dick Jones will remain as president with Pam Leibowitz and Jim Blank as new board members.
Dick has been the driving force in improving our dog park. He is negotiating to enlarge the park as it was initially intended and he has succeeded in getting a waste container installed just outside the park gate. Thank you, Dick.
