Rehearsals are in full swing as Wooden Soldiers brush up on their marching expertise, members of the Aquarius Group try to recall what it was like back then in order to create the correct ambiance for their number and Fiddlers and Lullabyes and saying Hello to Dolly and asking Luck to be a Lady are all mingling with the familiar refrains of favorite Christmas tunes. Members of the Performing Arts Guild are working hard both on the stage and behind the scenes to make this Christmas extravaganza one you won’t soon forget. The singers, soloists, duets and groups are all practicing their songs, dancers are perfecting their moves and the instrumentalists are making sweet music. Not only are the elves back –- something about winning a trip to New York in a contest — but it is rumored that Elfis is trying to work the Broadway circuit as well.
You’ll just have to come and see for yourselves how all this plays out at the PAG Christmas Show on December 5, 6 and 7. Tickets are still only $35.00 per person and include the fabulous show, a delicious holiday dinner, tax and gratuity. The nonrefundable tickets can be purchased with either check or cash at the Grill on Friday, November 15 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or by calling Pam Campbell at 625-2911 or Cyndy Gierada at 445-6829. Gather a group of your neighbors and friends, purchase a table for 10, sit back, relax and enjoy the beginning of the Christmas season here at Quail Creek. I understand there is even someone in the show who can give you some suggestions on how to wrap a Christmas present. Bar opens at 5:00 p.m. and the show starts promptly at 6:00 p.m.
As you scan the program, I’m sure you will recognize some, or maybe even many, of your favorite Broadway hits. Whether you saw them live in New York with someone special, or just recall them from movies or TV, not only will your fingers be drumming and your toes tapping but you will be humming along to all the familiar show tunes. Don’t miss this great opportunity; get your tickets now!
