Mark the calendar and save the date: February 12, 2016. Once again, The Women of Quail Creek and the Quail Creek Fights Back Relay for Life Team are co-hosting a luncheon and fashion show to benefit the American Cancer Society. Ignite your Passion – Fight all Cancers is the theme of this year’s festivity. Tickets at $25 per person will be sold in the Madera Clubhouse Lobby on December 14 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., prior to the TWOQC holiday luncheon. The event is open to all women in Quail Creek and the greater Green Valley area. Those wishing to sit with friends should make sure to purchase tickets together. Checks should be made out to TWOQC Charity Account.
It promises to be a fun day with raffle prizes, music, lunch and wonderful shopping opportunities. Starting off the festivities, ladies will be able to purchase raffle tickets, view raffle prizes and shop at Rose’s Fashions Boutique from 10:00 until 11:15 a.m. The cash bar will feature a special red daiquiri cocktail. Red and purple are the colors for the day; purple being the color that represents all cancers.
Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. The luncheon menu will be Chicken Florentine with rice, seasoned squash, and white chocolate mousse topped with red-frosted cookie. Then Rose’s Fashions of Green Valley is sure to delight the audience with a fashion show featuring all the newest looks and colors. The Women of Quail Creek models will grace the runway parading in outfits to demonstrate stylish ways to wear and accessorize the clothing.
The planning committee is seeking donations for the gift baskets to be raffled off that day. Desirable fun items to help fill themed baskets might include handmade crafts and jewelry, vases, plants, clothing accessories, spa items, specialty foods or wine and wine glasses. Gift certificates for stores such as Macy’s, Pottery Barn, Talbots, Chico’s, Crate and Barrel or restaurants make good raffle items. Empty baskets are also needed. To make a donation, contact Ginny Hutcheson at 520-906-0930 or [email protected].
This is always a very popular event and tickets sell quickly, so those wishing to attend are advised to buy tickets early. Last year’s benefit raised $6,672 to help fund patient programs and cancer research.
