Time is running out to buy tickets for the Friday, February 6 luncheon and fashion show to benefit the American Cancer Society. The Women of Quail Creek and the Quail Creek Fights Back Relay for Life Team are co-hosting the event which will raise money to fund research on all types of cancer. HOPE – A World with More Birthdays is the theme of this year’s festivity. Tickets at $25 per person will be sold at 9:00 am in the Madera Clubhouse lobby on January 26 prior to TWOQC general meeting. The event is open to all women in Quail Creek and the greater Green Valley area. Those wishing to sit with friends should purchase tickets together. Checks should be made out to TWOQC Charity Account. January 30 will be the final date to buy tickets.
Ladies will be able to purchase raffle tickets and shop at the Nancy Pantz Boutique from 10:00 a.m. until noon. The boutique will be located in the hallway outside the ballroom. Raffle prizes can be viewed at the back of the ballroom starting at 10:00 a.m. The cash bar, featuring a specialty drink of purple margaritas, will open at 11:30 a.m. Purple is the color that represents all cancers.
Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. The luncheon menu will be Nogales Chicken, cilantro rice and grilled squash with birthday cake for dessert. Then Nancy Pantz of Green Valley will delight the audience with a fashion show featuring all the newest looks and colors. Quail Creek models will grace the runway parading in outfits to demonstrate different stylish ways to wear and accessorize the clothing. Cyndy Gierada will provide the musical accompaniment.
The planning committee is seeking donations for the gift baskets to be raffled off that day. Desirable fun items to help fill themed baskets might include handmade crafts and jewelry, vases, plants, clothing accessories, gift certificates for Macy’s, Pottery Barn, Talbots, Victoria’s Secret or restaurants, spa items, specialty foods or wine and wine glasses.
