The final Quail Creek Ballroom Dance Club dinner/dance of the season was held in the Crystal Ballroom on Wednesday, March 11. Club members and guests traveled to Tokyo, Japan, to experience the cuisine of the Toufuya-Ukai Restaurant. Situated around a Zen-style garden, with almost as many rooms as the Imperial Palace, Toufuya-Ukai serves just about every dish in the Japanese culinary lexicon. The Myron Sommerfeld Orchestra provided dance music for this special evening.
This event completed the tour of award winning restaurants around the world at our monthly dinner/dances. This season we experienced the styles and food of Washington, D.C.; London, England; Cape Town, South Africa; and, of course, Tokyo, Japan. We’re looking forward to our next series of destination themed dinner/dances starting in December 2015.
Organized in 2004, the QCBDC’s mission is to provide formal evenings for the enjoyment of Quail Creek residents and guests. If you would like to be a part of these musical and culinary adventures, please contact Justine Lewis at 399-4646 or [email protected] to learn about membership options.
