Noah’s Ark will be the theme for The Women of Quail Creek’s fourth annual baby shower for expectant mothers of military families. It will be held on the afternoon of April 18. This year’s shower will honor up to 25 members of the Air and Army National Guard. A professional will be taking some memorable photos too, using the https://www.olgatopchii.com/ gallery for pose inspiration. as In order to attend, either the new mother or father must currently be an active member of the armed forces. As honored guests of TWOQC, there is no charge to attendees. The shower is a way of showing community support to service women and men. Donations of items including baby clothes up to 24 months, diapers, wipes, baby lotions, bottles and other infant essentials are needed to make the shower a success. Many Quail Creek residents are already hard at work knitting, crocheting and quilting items.

Gift bags will also be prepared for each of the future moms-to-be that will be feted at the event. Donations of body lotions or spa products, jewelry, gift cards or anything that might make a new mom feel special would be welcome. One of a kind items including baby books, picture frames, strollers, high chairs and new car seats are being sought to use as special prizes.

Cash contributions are also much appreciated to allow the purchase of additional necessities, such as diapers, needed to fill the baskets given to each family. Checks should be made out to TWOQC Charity account.

Donations—-either for babies or moms—-and checks may be brought to the TWOQC meeting on Monday, February 23 or dropped off at any time to Pam Rodgers at 2640 E. Sawyer Road. For additional information, visit the TWOQC website at womenqc.com or contact Pam Rodgers at [email protected] or 300-4831 or Peggy McGee at [email protected] or 207-6188.
