Calling all Quail Creek U.S. Navy and Coast Guard veterans, reservists, retirees, family and friends to join together for an afternoon of food, good times and of course, sea stories.
On Friday, May 3, you are invited to connect with shipmates at the Kino Conference Room from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Besides camaraderie, the meeting will also help assess the interest in organizing in a 2019 Navy Ball celebrating the 244th birthday of the Continental Navy (later adopted as the birthdate of the U.S. Navy) when George Washington commissioned the schooner, the USS Hannah on October 13, 1775.
The meet and greet is also an effort to organize Quail Creek Navy veterans and friends of the sea services to occasionally come together as a group to make a positive contribution to our community and to assist local veterans in need.
So, mark May 3 on your calendar as a reminder. More announcements will appear in future publications of the QC Crossing and in What’s Happening.
