The Democratic Club of Quail Creek (DCQC) held their monthly meeting in the Kino Conference Center on Oct. 12. It was the last meeting before the General Election on Nov. 5. A large crowd with many new attendees gathered to hear a discussion of Arizona Propositions that will be on the ballot.

The speakers were Richard Cook, a representative for Voter Choice Arizona and Better Ballot (Bringing Ranked Choice Voting to Arizona), and Michael Bryan, the program chair of Democrats of Greater Tucson and founder of Blog for Arizona.

Bryan and Cook explained and shared their views regarding the Arizona Ballot Measures with a PowerPoint presentation. They answered questions from the audience. Propositions 133 through 140, as well as Propositions 312 through 315, were discussed. The presentations and the Q&A session highlighted the pros and cons of each proposition.

The next DCQC meeting will be held on Nov. 16 at the Kino Conference Center. The theme will be “Helping Local Community Organizations.” For more information, see DCQC website at dcqc.page.
