Valley Assistance Services (VAS) sends a sincere thank you to the Quail Creek residents who supported their Empty Bowls event. This was the first time since the pandemic hit in March 2020 that people could sit down and enjoy a bowl of soup with friends at Empty Bowls. A special shout of appreciation goes out to the members of the Ceramics and POTS Clubs for their generous donation of almost 200 bowls from which the attendees could chose to take one home. And, of course, an expression of gratitude goes out to Chef Aris for the delicious soup he made for the occasion.

VAS also sends their thanks to the many artisans in Quail Creek who donated crafts items for the basket raffle and silent auction.

Valley Assistance Services is a local 501(c)(3) that provides not only financial assistance to low income seniors and families in the Greater Green Valley area but also programs designed to improve the quality of life for everyone in the area, e.g., fall prevention, classes for those with dementia and their caregivers, diabetes education classes, and support groups. They also provide rides, by appointment only, for medical appointments and grocery shopping in the local area.
