On March 15 Joey Sudmeier, assistant sales director with Natural Habitat Adventures, will be our speaker. Joey is the daughter of Judy and Kirk Weimer, Quail Creek residents. She will present information about traveling responsibility to help protect our natural world, with conservation and exploration going hand in hand.
Since 1985, Natural Habitat Adventures has delivered life-enhancing nature and wildlife experiences to small groups of passionate explorers. They combine an innovative approach to travel, personal attention to detail, and industry-leading sustainability practices to provide intimate encounters with the Earth’s wildest places. Their mission is conservation through exploration—protecting our planet by inspiring travelers, supporting local communities, and boldly influencing the entire travel industry.
Outside magazine named Natural Habitat Adventures the World’s No. 1 Adventure Travel Outfitter, with World Wildlife Fund’s (WWF) top scientists and staff by their side in the planning process and guide training, and with years of experience scouring the planet for captivating nature destinations that possess resources and insight not available to other tour companies.
Natural Habitat Adventures is WWF’s conservation travel partner because of its commitment to environmentally friendly travel and the exceptional quality of its worldwide adventures. WWF, the world’s leading conservation organization, selected Natural Habitat Adventures as its exclusive conservation travel partner, a relationship that began in 2003. When you travel with Natural Habitat Adventures and WWF, you become an integral force for change in addressing the planet’s most pressing conservation challenges. Your tourism dollars help transform the future of at-risk natural places, flowing to local communities who live with and steward nature, creating jobs and improving livelihoods.
Their expedition leaders are the industry’s most highly trained naturalist guides, sharing expert interpretation and personal attention to each traveler. Their distinctive lodgings are integral to a matchless nature immersion, offering proximity to wildlife and exceptional comfort in an unobtrusive context. Their groups are the smallest in the industry, averaging just nine guests, facilitating quiet opportunities for close-up, meaningful interactions with wildlife.
Natural Habitat Adventures offers adventures on all seven continents, with the most popular involving polar bear viewing in Northern Canada, small catamarans through the Galapagos Islands, and a variety of African safaris. Some of their more ambitious destinations include snow leopards of the Himalayas, sailing to Antarctica, and camping in secluded East Greenland.
Natural Habitat Adventures’ passion is to help travelers rediscover their connection to the natural world while protecting it. Natural Habitat Adventures caters to a distinct kind of guest: one who shares their love for this planet, who is a seeker of life-affirming experiences, and who considers nature home—where you go to feel your most connected, inspired, and alive.
