ARTS & CRAFTS
POTTERY & SCULPTURE STUDIO (POTS)
POTS offers members the opportunity of working with clay to create hand built, wheel thrown or sculptural pieces in our well- equipped studio in the CATC building. Open studio times are: M-W-F 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. and T-Th 9:00 a.m. to Noon.
QUAIL CREEK CERAMICS CLUB
Our studio is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9:00 a.m. to noon. Tuesday and Thursday 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. We have greenware, bisque, and glazes. We also offer beginning and technique classes.
QUAIL CREEK FINE ARTS PAINTING CLUB
This club promotes two dimensional art in all mediums: drawing, watercolor, acrylics, pastels, oil painting and more through classes, open studio time, lectures, and opportunities to display art. QUAIL CREEK GOURD AND BASKETRY CLUB
Gourd lovers and basket weavers meet on Tuesdays, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.; Thursdays, 1:00-5:00 p.m. and Saturday 8:00 a.m.-noon in Room 103. Enjoy dyeing, wood burning, carving, and weaving on gourds. Basket weaving classes held monthly.
QUAIL CREEK LAPIDARY & JEWELRY CLUB
Consider a very exciting hobby that has many aspects for you to pursue. We have it all at the Quail Creek Lapidary and Jewelry Club where you can learn how to polish ordinary stones into fine gems, set them in silver, or use them in other jewelry creations. Stop by when the workshop/studio is open to become a paid member.
QUAIL CREEK NEEDLEWORK CLUB
We meet every Tuesday 9am to noon and Friday 1 to 4pm in Studio 104 of CATC in a friendly, relaxed group whose interests include knitting, crocheting, cross-stitch, needlepoint – virtually anything you can do with a needle. Visitors are always welcome. Much of our work is donated to local charities, thus our motto “Gifted Hands, Giving Hearts.”
QUAIL CREEK WOODCRAFTERS
We are a group of men and women who enjoy woodworking and are interested in increasing their knowledge of woodworking. Our members are interested in making wood items such as toys, tables, wood inlay projects, large and small projects, wood turning, wood carving, whittling, etc. We will meet to share knowledge, patterns and craft tips. Our shop has Operating Procedures and Situation Training for Monitors. Our goal is to help provide a well-equipped, managed wood shop where all members can have access to the necessary tools to create “hands-on” creative wood projects in a safe and supportive environment that is both fun and productive.

SCRAPPERS AND STAMPERS
We welcome all levels of experience in doing paper crafts, including scrapbooks and cards. All of our members are willing to share ideas and expertise. Occasional classes are held to show new creations and techniques. Scheduled times for the Scrappers and Stampers at the Quail Creek Creative Arts and Technology Center (CATC) Fine Arts Studio are: Monday, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.; Wednesday, 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.; Saturday, 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
BOOKS, DISCUSSION & WRITING
LIBRARY AT MADERA CLUBHOUSE
Over 4,000 books, games, specialty books, magazines, and jigsaw puzzles are available or in circulation. No sign out required. Return at your convenience. Volunteers shelve returned books, alphabetize the collections and process donations. Donations are always welcome! A location diagram is posted on the wall by the return cabinet and in the Library Operations Manual. Note that the paperback books, games, specialty books, and jigsaw puzzles are located behind cabinet doors. Please feel free to use the library to access the Madera Clubhouse WiFi, no password required.
MONDAY NIGHT BOOK CLUB
Open to all residents of Quail Creek who love to read and enjoy good discussion. The Monday Night Book Club; a chartered club, meets on the first Monday of the month (unless there is a holiday conflict) at 7 p.m. in the Gold Room of the Madera Clubhouse. THE WRITERS AND POETS OF QUAIL CREEK
Our group is open to all residents with any level of interest and/or expertise in writing and poetry. We have over 30 published writers and poets residing in Quail Creek and many others who are simply interested in creativity and writing as a hobby or area of interest. We meet twice per month on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays in the Kino Conference Center. Gatherings are led by members and guests. We focus on both the creative and practical sides of the writing process. We love words, expression, creativity and sharing our thoughts and feelings with others. Feel free to visit or to become an active participating member. CARDS & GAMES
LADIES’ MARATHON BRIDGE
Teams play a set number of hands against other teams on a flexible, monthly schedule from October to April. Winners determined by all games played. Teams must be finalized prior to September for following season.
MAH JONGG GROUP
This is an ancient Chinese game played with tiles instead of cards. We play the American version, following the rules from the National Mah Jongg League. The provided sets have tiles with symbols, similar to suits in cards. Bring your card of Standard Hands and join the fun! All skill levels are welcome. There are several groups: Mondays – 9:00 am to 12:00 pm (Chinese version); Mondays – 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm (American version); Tuesdays – 8:30 am to Noon (American version); Fridays – 8:30 am to Noon (American version). All meet in the Saguaro Room, Kino Conference Center to play.
MIXED DUPLICATE BRIDGE (NON-SANCTION)
Mixed Duplicate is every Friday morning, from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Must have a partner to play. Sign up sheet is at the Madera Clubhouse. The cost is $1.00 per person which goes towards prize money.
MIXED PARTY BRIDGE
Party Bridge is played on Wednesday afternoon, 12:50 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., men and women welcome. Sign-up sheet is at the Madera Clubhouse. Please sign up before Tuesday at noon to play on Wednesday of that week. Fee is $1 to go towards prize money.
QUAIL CREEK EUCHRE
Euchre is a fun card game played with 4 players. Each player is dealt five cards and the player making trump must take three tricks to win a hand. We play the first and third Wednesday of each month. Cost of play is $2 for prizes. If you know how to play Euchre, please join us.
THURSDAY AFTERNOON PONYTAIL CANASTA
This is an interesting and enjoyable card game, easy to learn and fun to play. Join us on Thursday mornings in the Madera Clubhouse Silver Room, 9:00 a.m. to Noon.

Come out and join us for a morning of fun every Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. We meet in the Silver Room at the Madera Clubhouse.

CASUAL DANCE CLUB
The Casual Dance Club organizes and conducts casual dance entertainment for its members. Dances are held in the Madera Clubhouse between October and March. Our bands play a variety of music from oldies to contemporary and from rock and roll to country. We are a fun, casual dance club, which is currently accepting new memberships.
LINE DANCING
Line Dancing – All levels welcome. Ballroom of Madera Clubhouse on Tuesdays, Sept-May (alternate site Cholla Room Anza Center). Instruction – Beginners: 5-6 p.m.; Experienced: 6-7 p.m. No sign up or fee. Come and enjoy!
GOLF
QUAIL CREEK COUPLES’ GOLF ASSOCIATION
The QCCGA was formed to provide a fun, friendly and competitive Couples Golf Venue. For handicap and game purposes “Couples” is defined as a male and a female playing together, whether they be married, significant others, or just good golfing friends. Members must be homeowners, long term renters, buyers under contract or holders of non-resident annual QC golf memberships and have a verifiable handicap from one of the QC golf organizations. Play is monthly, according to USGA rules. Annual membership is $5 for each individual. Monthly tournaments have an entry fee, which includes prize money and lunch. QUAIL CREEK LADIES’ 9-HOLE GOLF ASSOCIATION (QC9LGA)
The Quail Creek Ladies’ 9-Hole Golf Association (QC9LGA) plays every Thursday morning. We enjoy golf, fellowship, tournaments, and other special events. New members without an established handicap will be allowed to play 5 times on QC9LGA play dates to obtain their index. Annual dues are $50 per year, which includes handicap fee and league dues.
QUAIL CREEK LADIES’ GOLF ASSOCIATION (18 HOLE)
Quail Creek Ladies’ Golf Association (18 holes) meets every Thursday for organized play, participating in low gross and low net tournaments as well as several major tournaments a year. They participate in the Robson Challenge, State Medallion, Green Valley Interclub League, and SDWGA and AWGA events.
QUAIL CREEK LADY PUTTERS
The Lady Putters just putt. Once a week we have a challenging putting course set up on our large putting green and enjoy the camaraderie and competition. All skill levels are welcome.
QUAIL CREEK MEN’S 9-HOLE GOLF ASSOCIATION/DESERT DUFFERS
Desert Duffers Golf is about having fun! Members play weekly 9-hole individual and team competitions with relaxed Duffer/USGA Rules. The club organizes several outside golfing events and dinner socials. Membership consists of a wide variety of playing levels, and aging and physically handicapped players are warmly welcomed.
QUAIL CREEK MEN’S GOLF ASSOCIATION
The objectives of the QCMGA are to promote the game, its rules and traditions. Club events take place every Tuesday and are 18 holes. Club dues are $55 per year. There are four major tournaments and tournaments every Tuesday.
QUAIL CREEK VETERANS GOLF ASSOCIATION
The purpose of the Quail Creek Veterans Golf Association (QCVGA) is to promote the game of golf, encourage good fellowship, and sportsmanship among the Military Veterans, spouses, widows, and widowers of the Quail Creek community with timely social events and special tournaments. Tournaments are held at various courses within the Green Valley area. Tournaments are conducted in accordance with USGA, AGA, and QCVGA rules. Dues are $15 per year. QCVGA conducts a major golf charity tournament in November to support local military families. Website: qcvga.com

CRITTERS CLUB
The club provides education for our pet owners using guest speakers and distribution of information important to pet health and safety in the Sonoran Desert. We offer socialization for our pets through our dog park and many social events during the year. We also provide identification of our pets through our Pet Recovery Program. DEMOCRATIC CLUB OF QUAIL CREEK
The Democratic Club of Quail Creek welcomes all open-minded, progressive people to join in our mission to learn and have fun while helping deliver positive change at the local, state and national levels. The Computer Club is one of the largest and most active clubs in Quail Creek. We provide classes on PC (Windows), Apple (iPad and Mac) and Android platforms; weekly Open Labs and a weekly meeting with an informative topic which is open to all residents. ADOPT-A-HIGHWAY
The Adopt-a-Highway program is an opportunity for community members to help keep our highways litter free. Tons of trash are picked up every year by Adopt-a-Highway programs participants nationwide. Quail Creek cleans up 1 mile of road on Nogales Highway, from Quail Crossing Blvd to the gravel pit.
QUAIL CREEK BLANKET BRIGADE
Through the gift of lovingly handmade blankets, this not-for-profit service organization works to provide a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are in substantial distress in their lives. Blankets of all sizes and styles will be welcomed.
QUAIL CREEK SUNSHINE
Quail Creek Sunshine is a very caring group of residents that has as its mission to help residents stay happy and positive by publishing the monthly birthday list and sending birthday cards. If requested, Quail Creek Sunshine sends get well cards.

PHILOSOPHY CLUB
Our purpose is to foster insights and awareness of philosophical issues on a broad range of topics from ancient Greek to present day issues. We meet every Wednesday, 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM in the Kino Conference Room. We encourage participants to bring questions and ideas that they may want to discuss. We always welcome new minds. No background in philosophy required, just a sense of curiosity and a desire for wisdom through intellectual discourse and dialogue with your neighbors and friends. Please join us!
QUAIL CREEK DINING CLUB
In-home dinners promote great conversation among new acquaintances over delicious meals. Hosts plan menus and select recipes around a designated theme; all provide dishes and share expenses. Extra food-oriented activities are planned throughout the year. Everyone is welcome to participate in these events as well as our fall-winter dining season.
QUAIL CREEK SINGLES CLUB
We’re a lively bunch of single Quail Creek residents who love to get together for fun, food and socializing. We enjoy dinner meetings from September through May on the first Thursday of each month. Our purpose is to provide social opportunities for singles that are enriching, fun and engaging without match-making. The focus is on group recreational, educational and cultural activities.
RAINBOW CLUB
The Rainbow Club is an LGBTQ+ social network for residents of Quail Creek. Our goal is to provide opportunities for members to meet/greet and celebrate living in Quail Creek. The club connects once per month to discuss, plan, and hold social and volunteer activities.
REPUBLICAN CLUB
Our purpose is to provide a social network to promote the principles and objectives of the Republican Party in Quail Creek, and support other Republican organizations at all levels. RV CLUB
We strive to organize club outings to destinations of interest throughout the Southwest and beyond, in accordance with the wishes of our membership. Through group participation, we often receive discounted rates at RV parks. Usually side activities are included in the planning of an outing, e.g. hiking, golfing, or scenic tours. There is always good food and socializing. Membership is open to all Quail Creek RV owners. Meetings of the club are held the first Tuesday of the month at 4:00 p.m. in the Silver Room of the Madera Clubhouse.
SCIENCE CLUB
The Science Club meets the first and third Mondays of each month, 4:00-6:00 p.m., Madera Clubhouse Gold Room. At each meeting there is a presentation by one of our members followed by a question and answer period and time for discussion. Current science articles are also reviewed. You do not need a background in science and membership is free.

Our mission: We are a community of women dedicated to learning, giving and engaging. We offer fun and social activities to our members. We support our Green Valley/Sahuarita community through scholarships and other outreach efforts.

AIR GUN CLUB
It is a chartered club, for Quail Creek Residents who have an interest in Shooting Sports. The club maintains a 20 lane shooting range, located minutes from the Madera Club House. This is the largest shooting range dedicated solely to airgun shooting in the US, no firearms are allowed on this range. We also have a 7 meter indoor pistol range for pistol shooters. ANZA ATHLETIC CLUB (AAC) FITNESS CLASSES
The AAC offers Life Fitness equipment with cross-trainers, treadmills, weight machines, recumbent and upright bicycles. A variety of classes are provided for residents including aquatics, aerobics, dance, free weights, Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates. QUAIL CREEK BILLIARDS CLUB

QUAIL CREEK HIKERS
We hike weekly from October through April, generally in the nearby mountains. Hikes are of varying difficulty, from moderate to strenuous.
Quail Creek Pickleball Club

QUAIL CREEK SOFTBALL CLUB
Senior (55+) slow pitch softball is a major activity in the Green Valley area. More than 150 players of both sexes and all skills are currently playing. Games are on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, generally in the mornings, year round.

Play is at the Anza Athletic Club on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Check calendar for times and room assignment.
QUAIL CREEK TENNIS CLUB
The object of the QCTC is to ensure participation in tennis at all skill levels for members of the club. As such, the club promotes an active program of tennis by organizing men’s, women’s and mixed play, conducting tournaments, social events, and inter-club activities.
