In Honor and In Memory of Those Affected by Cancer.

The Quail Creek Fights Back Relay For Life team invites everyone to join the team to walk short laps In Honor and In Memory of those who have been touched by cancer. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 28 at Rancho Resort park, 15900 S. Rancho Resort Blvd. (La Canada and Sahuarita Road), there will be someone from many teams walking laps, representing the fact that cancer never sleeps. If you normally walk in Quail Creek, why not take your walk on a beautiful park sidewalk to support those who have been affected by cancer. Can’t walk? Bring your chair and sit in the shade beside the track with some of the team. Survivors and caregivers need to arrive before the 10 a.m. opening ceremonies where Mayor Tom Murphy will welcome them to the walk.

There is no fee to join the team and participate. Survivors sign up for the Quail Creek team at www.relayforlife.org/gvsahuaritaaz to be counted for the walk and meal and receive their survivor shirt by mail. Other participants join the team at any time during the day to walk the path for family and friends who have been touched by cancer.

During the day, the teams Celebrate, Remember, and Fight Back. Tents will be decorated with a Disney theme. Quail Creek’s theme is “To Wish Upon a Cure” from Pinocchio. There will be raffle prizes to win, Jim Click tickets sold, and games to be won during the day. Add a name to the wall of the Memorial tent where names will be listed of those who lost their cancer battle. Participants can make a flower for the Hope Garden in the name of someone touched by cancer. Teams will walk for the Decorated Bra, Decorated Boxer, and Decorated Hat laps to represent breast, prostate, and melanoma cancer. Luminaria bags and the Hope Garden will line the track, along with sponsor signs and banners.
