The Lady Putters continue to amaze their fellow Putters and sometimes even themselves. For a while, it was one or two ladies who managed to get five or more holes-in-one on a Wednesday morning, but now it seems the number can climb to nine or ten who manage that feat.
Getting seven holes-in-one was Julie Wagner, followed by Diane Dodd, Carol Bensen, and Jan Ederle, each with six. In the same three-week period, making themselves eligible for the Quail Pin with five holes-in-one, were Ann Hay, Carol Cooper, Cathy Leary, Chris Lansing, Janet Wegner, Lisa Salvio, Lois Haglund, Gail Wilkins, Jonel Dlugos, and Marcia McCarthy. However, they can only be awarded one pin per calendar year no matter how often they score five or more holes-in-one.
Winning $5 for scoring a hole-in-one on the money hole, the most difficult of all on a particular day in the opinions of the Set-Up Committee, were Julie Wagner, P.J. Fulleriti, Lisa Salvio, Sylvia Butler, Carol Bensen, Cathy Leary, and Dorothy Hofmann. Wendy Van Dyck achieved this recognition two weeks in a row.
Interested ladies are invited to join the Lady Putters on Wednesdays, checking in on the back patio of the clubhouse at 9:30 a.m. The cost is $1 to putt while enjoying the fresh air and friendly camaraderie.
