Snakes Alive! What to Do If You Encounter a Snake

With unseasonably warm temperatures this time of year, many residents are heading outdoors to enjoy the sunshine. But remember—you’re not the only one who likes to bask in the sun. Snakes do, too.

Because Quail Creek is nestled in natural desert surroundings, the occasional snake sighting is possible. Knowing how to respond is key to staying safe.

What should you do if you see a snake?

• In case of an emergency, such as a snake bite, call 9-1-1 immediately.

• If you see a snake and are in a safe location (inside your home or vehicle), you can call the Fire Corps at 520-629-9200 for assistance.

• Do not contact the Quail Creek gatehouse or patrol drivers. POA staff are not trained to handle snakes.

Your safety is our top priority. Stay alert, stay calm, and enjoy the outdoors responsibly!
