Christine Pelosi Visits Quail Creek
Lois Connell
The input by Christine Pelosi at the Women in Blue Brunch on June 1 held in the Madera clubhouse ballroom continues to resonate with the participants. Almost 100 people, women and men, attended.
Pelosi walked among the tables while sharing her thoughts, giving a more personal atmosphere.
She spoke candidly and extemporaneously about the issues facing our country today. She projected an upbeat message without downplaying the seriousness of issues needing to be addressed.
It was an experience that participants still refer to weeks later.

Indivisible Representatives Speak at June Meeting
Alphie Smith
On June 21 the Democratic Club of Quail Creek (DCQC) monthly meeting was held at 3 p.m. at the Kino Center. The Ocotillo and Mesquite Rooms were full. The attendees came to hear John Boulet and Judy Middleton speak about the Indivisible Chapter here in Quail Creek and the action it is taking.
Middleton and Boulet gave a history of Indivisible and how it has grown. It began in 2016 as a “grassroots movement for democracy” whose principles include “non-violent resistance” and “local action, national impact.” It represents a broad umbrella and does not represent one party.
The Quail Creek Chapter began in February and March of 2025. Boulet and Middleton are part of the Steering Committee. Originally supporting policy, Indivisible now supports public resistance.
From Town Hall protests to nationwide protests, Indivisible supported the recent grassroots protest “No Kings” on June 14, which had five million participants in over 2,000 locations. Keeping the momentum going, the next protest will be “Bad Trouble,” honoring John Lewis, on July 17, co-sponsored by DCQC, Green Valley Democrats, and LD19 Democrats.
Indivisible also collaborates with other organizations to hold events and mobilize people. Motto: “We the people, are indivisible.”
The audience was engaged with questions and offered ideas and reflections.
