This is a friendly reminder that golf carts and bicycles are required to use the designated multipurpose lanes when available.
There are a couple of important reasons for this guideline:
- Safety: Golf carts and bicycles travel at much slower speeds than vehicles. Keeping them in the multipurpose lanes helps reduce the risk of accidents.
- Efficiency: These lanes are designed specifically for slower traffic and help ensure a smoother flow of vehicles on the main roadway.
The multipurpose lanes are shared by golf carts and bicycles, which have the right-of-way. Pedestrians do not have the right-of-way in these lanes and may endanger themselves and others by walking or running in them. Where sidewalks are available, pedestrians are strongly encouraged to use them. If you choose to walk or jog in the multipurpose lanes, please yield to golf carts and bicycles. To yield means to “give way to”—both for your safety and theirs.
As stated in the POA rule:
4.38 Pedestrians using designated multi-purpose lanes on Quail Creek roadways must always face oncoming traffic and yield to oncoming golf carts and bicycles.
Additionally, we ask all residents and guests to remain courteous and neighborly when sharing these community spaces. Please refrain from yelling, using profanity, or engaging in confrontational behavior. Maintaining a respectful and calm environment ensures that everyone can enjoy our community safely and peacefully.
Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to safety.
