As our seasonal residents head out for the summer, the traffic at our Open Labs has started to decline. We anticipate having the same number of lab monitors there to support our membership, so any wait time should be decreased or eliminated. The least busy Open Lab is on Thursday afternoon/evening from 5 to 7 p.m. Our other Open Lab times are Monday from 1 to 3 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon. Remember, we’re available to answer any tech questions you may have. Any technology that our members have an issue with and can bring into the lab we’ll take a look at, so don’t be shy!
At any one time in our Open Labs, our members will find decades of experience in IT support waiting to troubleshoot your issue. Remember, if the issue relates to something that will need a username and password to resolve, please bring those with you.
Did you know your membership provides for printing? We have two printers available in our lab, ready for use. Members can print up to 20 pages per day! Do you happen to have slides laying around and would like to convert them to digital images? Our members can log into our website and reserve the slide scanner during our Open Lab times. For your first visit, plan on some instruction time from one of our lab monitors to learn the process.
Our classes are winding down this spring and will begin anew early this fall. Learning/mastering your IT systems (iPhone, Android, Mac, Windows) decreases the mystery and increases user satisfaction. Members can log into our website to view upcoming classes. You should do this frequently to increase your odds of getting a seat in the class you desire. If you miss getting a seat reserved, a waiting list is also offered. We hope to see you at the computer lab soon. We’re located in the CATC building located at 2045 E. Quail Crossing.
