The Women of Quail Creek Coffee and Pastries with the Board Event

The Women of Quail Creek (TWOQC) Board started the year off with a “get to know us” event open to all TWOQC members.

Coffee and Pastries with the TWOQC Board was held at the Madera clubhouse on Jan. 13 from 9 to 11 a.m. It was a great opportunity for TWOQC membership to get to know board members as individuals and to gain a better sense of the organization and its leadership team.

Board members spoke about their areas of responsibility and what they hoped to accomplish in 2025. Since all are volunteers serving a two-year term, it was hoped that these presentations would encourage TWOQC members to get involved in areas or programs that interested them, which could perhaps lead to board responsibilities in the future. Afterwards, the floor was opened to attendees for an extensive Question & Answer session, accompanied, of course, by coffee and lots of yummy pastries arranged courtesy of the TWOQC Programs Committee.

The Q&A allowed TWOQC members to learn new things about their organization, but even more importantly, it allowed board members to learn more about TWOQC members and their concerns. The biggest question on everyone’s mind seemed to be “What about snowbirds? Can they participate in TWOQC activities and committees?” The answer: “Yes, absolutely!”

Coffee and Pastries with the TWOQC Board was received so enthusiastically that it will probably become an annual, or even semi-annual event. For more information about The Women of Quail Creek, please visit www.womenqc.com.
