Paper Flower Bouquets in Janet’s Crafty Casita

Inna Shames

On a beautiful December morning in Quail Creek, five women from The Women of Quail Creek (TWOQC) gathered in Janet Rumford’s Crafty Casita to make beautiful paper flowers, something most of us have not done since we were small children playing with colored tissue paper!

And the raw materials used here actually came about by accident when Janet bought a new coffeemaker and then (waste not want not) needed to figure out what to do with her old coffee filters. And just like that, a new class idea was born!

In attendance were Dee Dee McKee, Stephanie Reynolds, Diane Quinn, Carol Michels, and Mary Lynn Valensky. Each woman made two flowers plus a single rose. What a lovely way to usher in the festive holiday season!
