TWOQC Annual December Holiday Luncheon

Nancy Jacobs

The Women of Quail Creek’s (TWOQC) annual Holiday Luncheon was held at the Madera clubhouse on Dec. 10. The event was attended by 117 TWOQC members and guests. A festive luncheon menu consisted of Chicken Florentine over angel hair pasta, with glazed carrots and a Caesar salad.

After lunch was served, the first half of the Fashion Show began, featuring colorful holiday clothing from Nancy Pantz. Once several fashions were shown, the show took a break, allowing models to stroll among the tables showing off the beautiful outfits.

During the break, A delicious dessert of warm apple crumble with vanilla ice cream was served—a fitting end to the meal. A brief meeting was held by Debra Gutknecht, incoming president of TWOQC, during which incoming TWOQC board members for 2025 were introduced, and any board members present came forward for a group photo. After the meeting, the Fashion Show continued.

The ballroom had the festive look of Christmas, courtesy of the TWOQC Decorating Committee, with lighted gingerbread house centerpieces everywhere and an illuminated stage where at least eight white, lighted trees augmented the two decorated trees, which were a part of the traditional Christmas ballroom theme.

At the end of the luncheon, members and guests were invited to buy tickets for a raffle drawing for the lovely gingerbread houses. A delightful time was had by all!
