Valley Assistance Services Sends Thanks

Peggy McGee

Valley Assistance Services (VAS) extends its sincere appreciation to the many Quail Creek residents who supported the Fashion Show on Aug. 20.

They appreciate the number of residents who attended the Fashion Show at Desert Diamond Casino and who supported the 100-item Silent Auction. The Silent Auction would not have been possible had it not been for the very generous donations of so many crafters in the community. A special thanks goes out to the members of the Paper Crafters, Lapidary, POTS, Ceramics, Fine Arts, and Glass Arts Clubs who donated numerous items. VAS also expressed gratitude for the individuals who donated hand-woven baskets, gourds, cork wreaths, wine and spa items, golfing supplies, photographs, posters, and more. It was because of your efforts that the fundraiser was the success that it was.

Valley Assistance Services’ next event will be a Day of the Dead Walk on Nov. 2 at Quail Creek Veterans Municipal Park. Details for that event will be in the October Crossing, but mark your calendars and start thinking about your costume now.
