Attention Residents of Quail Creek Unit 18

Sunland Asphalt has been contracted to perform a road maintenance project in your area.

Mill, Grade, and Pave: A milling machine will be used to cut down to a preset depth over a measured area. The milling machine will break down and transfer the existing asphalt into trucks to be hauled off site. After the milling machine has completed breaking up and loading the broken material, a grading crew is tasked with grading and shaping the affected areas. The grading consists of cutting, if necessary, flattening, watering, and compacting the subgrade in preparation of paving. Once complete, the pave crew finishes the project with an asphalt pave.

Barricades will be in place for the duration of the work. Please do not move the barricades. A member of the Sunland crew will remove the barricades once it is safe for vehicles to drive on the pavement.

Scheduled Dates:

Mill and grade: Sept. 3 and 4

Pave: Sept. 5 and 6

Striping: Sept. 7. A striping crew will arrive early in the morning to restripe all pavement markings. The crew will remove the barricades once they have finished and it is safe for vehicles to drive on the pavement.

Please see the accompanying map of the work area.

If you must pass through the work area, please ask the foreman to determine when that will be possible and other routes. We request that you park outside of the appropriate work areas by 7 a.m. on the workdays. Any vehicles in the work area will be towed at the owner’s expense. Sunland Asphalt will not be held liable for any damage that occurs during towing.

Asphalt maintenance cannot be performed in the wind, rain, or extreme temperatures. If a reschedule is necessary, we will send an updated schedule as soon as possible.

We understand there may be some inconvenience during this maintenance. We ask for your patience and understanding as we work to provide excellent results with minimal inconvenience.

Please keep children and pets away from maintenance for their own safety.
