Residential lockboxes are designed to be a secure method of allowing district firefighters to access your home via a key in your lockbox when you are unable to open your own door, or in the event of a critical emergency at your residence when you are not at home.
Lockboxes are extremely strong and can only be opened by Green Valley Fire Department (GVFD) firefighters or Fire Corps volunteers. Your home keys are secured inside the box and accessed via a special key that is carried on fire department vehicles.
Your lockbox information is kept securely in our dispatch center computers, so dispatchers are able to alert responding crews that you have a key in the box.
If you would like to have a residential lockbox installed on your home, call 520-625-9438 to schedule your appointment. You may also elect to install it yourself. The cost is $50 per box, and installation cost is $25. Call today to give yourself and your loved ones peace of mind for your safety.
